The consultancy comprised various technical support activities, including:

  • Development of Water for Lakes Project’s Hygiene Promotion Strategy
  • Strategy development for Community Engagement on Sanitation Promotion without using CLTS methodology
  • Training of Trainers (ToT) for CSOs and VSLA groups in business skills
  • Capacity building for State and County officials on WASH sustainability approaches
  • Individual capacity assessment of CSO Hygiene Promoters
  • ToT for Water User Committees (WUC) on governance and sustainability
  • Development and review of a Modified Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation (PHAST) handbook
  • Development of a manual for the engagement of Community Resource Persons (CRPs) in hygiene promotion
  • Continuous technical guidance and support to project staff
